Eevanna is the newest technician to join the team, and has been with Ammon Vet since September 2016. Originally from St. Johns, AZ, she currently resides in Rexburg, ID, where she completed her education and her husband is currently finishing his. Eevanna has always been interested in the medical field because she loves helping others become healthier. She chose to become a Veterinary Technician because she grew up on a ranch, working with cattle, horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, pigs and more; and has always loved animals and helping them.
Eevanna completed her A.S. in Veterinary Technology at BYU-Idaho in 2015, and went on to complete a B.S. in Health Science, also at BYU-Idaho, in 2016. Upon completing her A.S. she interned at a small animal and wildlife clinic in Washington. Her favorite thing about working with animals is when she can help a pet and to see how happy their owner is. She also loves being able to "love on" animals every day, especially puppies and kittens. While her apartment doesn't currently allow cats or dogs, she and her husband fill the void with a Beta fish named, "Comet," and hope to someday get a puppy to add to the family.
In addition to her love of working with animals, Eevanna loves anything outdoors - she loves to backpack and hike and be in the mountains. However, when she's feeling more on the "lazy, just-want-to-be-cozy" side, she and her husband go to the movies. She also enjoys anything with food (especially eating it!) and spending time with her family. She volunteers in her community by cleaning up local parks and helping with special-needs children. She also participates in service projects with and through her church group, including an 18-month service mission. She always looks for ways to do simple acts of kindness and service.
Eevanna loves working at Ammon Veterinary Hospital with people who truly care about their work and are very knowledgeable in what they do. She says, "they have helped me to learn and become and much better technician."
Ashley Jo Winters-Glenn
Ashley Jo is a new addition to the Ammon Vet team and started in September 2016. She works at the front desk and is often the first smiling face you see when entering the facility. She was born and raised in Idaho Falls. She moved to Pocatello where she earned a Bachelor's degree in English, from Idaho State University. Upon completion she returned to Idaho Falls due to her love of the area as her home town. She's always loved animals and had horses, cats, and dogs growing up as well as gerbils and rabbits. In high school she volunteered at Skyline Animal Hospital and she loved working with animals on a daily basis. Earlier this year she started volunteering with the Snake River Animal Shelter, walking dogs in memory of her brother who passed away in August 2015. She does this because they both shared a deep love and connection with animals.
Ashley Jo enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with her two young children, and being outdoors. She loves the mountains and her favorite place to escape to is Jackson Hole. She also loves anything Harry Potter and recently visited Harry Potter World at Universal Studios Florida. In addition to working at Ammon Vet, she also works as a part-time bookseller for Barnes and Noble, where she's worked for almost 11 years.
Her favorite thing about working with animals is being able to help animals in need while seeing the improvements veterinary medicine has in their overall health and quality of life. She feels that animals are very genuine and cannot communicate the way we do when they are in pain. She appreciates being a part of helping them find the best care and a way back to better health.
At home, Ashley Jo has a 5 year-old cat, named Swaggie, that she adopted from the Bingham Humane Society. Since her brother passed away last year, she also helps care for his dog, Voldemort, as much as possible. Her dream dog is an Irish Wolfhound.
Leona is a Vet Tech who has been with Ammon Veterinary Hospital since 2009 and has served in many different roles. She has 2 dogs of her own, who aren't just pets, but are a part of her family.
