Hi everyone, I’m Daxter, a 10-year old Yorkie and Toy Poodle mix. I’ve been with my family for as long as I can remember, since they brought me home as a puppy. I’m pretty old now, which means sleeping and eating are my two concerns in life. Walks are okay, but I’ll only go a short distance before demanding to be carried the rest of the way – don’t judge, I’m 70 in human years. While there is a limited number of people I really like, I tolerate most of them pretty well as long as they keep their distance. I’ve had a lot of furry friends in my life. My best friend of 7 years passed away a couple of months ago. It was really hard for me and my family, but they made sure I wasn’t alone. They brought in another friend for me so I wouldn’t be lonely. He’s just a young pup, I’m not sure what they were thinking bringing in someone so energetic, but he likes to play tug-of- war so we get along. I’ve had some medical problems in my life, a lot of them stemming from the fact that I love food. But, with the help of the amazing people at Ammon Vet I was able to lose the excess weight and with the medication I feel like my old self and I’m loving life.
